josephat.me redux

three small step for astro.build, one giant leap for josephat.me

in the realm of web development, transitions are inevitable, and upgrading this portfolio is no exception. The v1 to v4 ‘upgrade’, though delayed by gravitational forces, was much needed. It is now based on a separate portfolio project that i intend to keep up to date.

“Dear Astro, I have followed with enthusiasm the course of your growth and public fame…”

The Impetus

FOMO started setting in watching the team over at Astro introduce new and exciting features like content and data collections, hybrid rendering, middleware, view transitions, and more. Little things like updated error overlays and logs and astro check command are welcomed additions.

Profits

This upgrade brings a few benefits: type safety, better performance, search engine optimization, content/data collections, flexibility, and more. It can easily be adapted for use as portfolio, blog, web dev agency, etc.
